olivia's room

it's about time for a tour of olivia's room, don't you think?

my favorite element in her room is definitely the alphabet wall. i pinned this image right after we announced that we were expecting and slowly collected letters from etsy and other places over time. i completely love how it turned out. and it's already keeping olivia entertained!

this cute bird tray on her changing table corrals all of the ointments, purell, etc, and came from ikea. (full list of sources at the end of the post.)

luckily, her room is large enough for a full size bed, which means i've been able to sleep in there with her and nurse easily, while my husband gets some rest in our room.

i love this bunny. it is SO soft and is the "for scale" object in olivia's monthly photo.

i plan on adding to this wall of frames, but this is a pretty good start.

olivia's daddy works for a publisher, so i think we will always have plenty of books. (who am i kidding? even if he didn't work there, we'd still have lots of books!)

i love this sweet thumbprint art that my friends made at my surprise baby shower. i've held on to that little picture frame since college; love the little photo of us in it. and that fabric ball is one of the first things i bought for olivia when we found out that we were having a baby.

what? you don't have a lego boba fett ship in your baby girl's room??

my co-workers all pitched in for the crib. full of love.

olivia loves looking at all the letters. we jokingly refer to red W as her boyfriend.

the room isn't *quite* done. i'd still love to add a large world map on the blank wall and put this rug on the floor. and maybe add some curtains on top of the roller blinds, but overall, i'm really happy with how it has come together. hope you enjoyed the tour!

Hi Jodi! Just discovered your blog through Poppytalk's mutual tweet! Love this alphabet wall! I love that it's not perfectly matchy letter-wise, and yet you've managed to pull it all together so that they all look like they belong! Have a great weekend! Rosa
