It wasn't quite peak leaf-peeping season while we were there, but still very nice. And it's always such a treat to get out of the city for a few days.
The beautiful home we staying in was amazing in its own right, but the added layers of Garnet Hill home goods made it feel extra special.
The duvet in my room was a lovely aqua and white Hable Construction print. I've been a fan of Hable ever since Grace Bonney had her sofa recovered in one of their fabrics. I don't think this pattern is for sale yet for Garnet Hill, but keep an eye out for it soon! Oh! And my room came complete with a hidden doorway! You can see the bookcase on the left swung open to lead up a short flight of stairs.
This was the view just a short walk from our house. (!!!!!)
We spent part of the afternoon at Hudson-Chatham Winery. Dominique led us through a wonderful tasting and gave us some history of the winery. We even picked some apples off of the trees in their yard! Everything was so tasty; I made sure to pick up a bottle of the Blanc de Blanc to enjoy at home.
We returned to the Garnet Hill House for an amazing dinner prepared by Carlucci-Simons Catering. Everything was so delicious and locally sourced. Soooo goooood.
After dinner, we enjoyed some more wine from Hudson-Chatham Winery and roasted marshmallows by the fire to make s'mores. A perfect end to the evening.
The next day, we headed in to Hudson, NY for a little shopping and lunch before boarding the train back to the city.
Lunch at Cafe Le Perche was a great end to our mini trip.
Thanks so much for having me, Garnet Hill! It was a wonderful couple of days.
